This series of deer drawings was completed over the past 4 years. Living beside the Phoenix Park, Dublin, for over 20 years I have been able to observe and photograph deer on many occasions. Different types of pastel, charcoal, coloured charcoal and graphite were used on 220 – 300 gram paper to create this series. The large 8 metre long drawing of running deer, in coloured charcoal and graphite, was based on my interest in prehistoric cave art.
